However after a little research one is forced to confront the fact that in its current popular meaning the Judaeo-Christian construct is a relatively new invention. The first recorded use of the term according to the Oxford Dictionary was in 1899 as a way of describing how Christianity emerged from Judaism.
One must look to a latter date during World War II to be more precise to find how the construct started take on the meaning that we now associate with it:
"The term "Judeo-Christian" was invented during World War II, when Christians started realizing how rude it was to rail against the Nazis for violating "Christian decency" since so many of the Nazi victims were Jewish. It was a superficial attempt to appear diverse and inclusive. Usually when I see the term used, the author actually is only talking about Christianity, and thus denies the truly different nature of Judaism.
The term Judeo-Christian does not have a lengthy history.
"It was during the Hitler years that American philo-Semites invented the "Judeo-Christian" tradition' to combat innocent, or not so innocent, language that spoke of a totalitarian assault on 'Christian civilization.'" (Source: Osmand Riba)
The term is now being deliberately used by some for political reasons to create an atmosphere of love between the two faiths that has never in reality existed. The purpose behind this move is to attack the perceived common enemy that is Islam. But the "coming together" of the Jewish and Christian worlds is in its essence is false because the faiths reject wholeheartedly each others beliefs. As Rabbi Eliezar Berkowit Chairman of the Jewish Philosophy Department at the Hebrew Theological College said in 1966:
"Judaism is Judaism because it rejects Christianity; and Christianity is Christianity because it rejects Judaism." (Source: Osmand Riba)
For a latter day example of this enmity and the true relationship that has existed between the Judaism and Christianity for the last 2000 years one only needs to looks at the following video in which the speaker characterizes Jesus as a bastard:
