A British daily newspaper reports that for the first time in its history Windsor Castle one of the residences of the Queen of Britain and home to her ancestral grave yard is going to have a prayer room for its one and only Muslim employee during the month of Ramadan. The move appears to have the backing of the monarch who was consulted regarding this unparalleled new precedent.
"The Muslim month of Ramadan is being celebrated in Windsor Castle with the blessing of the Queen, it was revealed. A special prayer room has been set aside in Her Majesty's favorite residence for the Islamic month of fasting." (Source : Daily Mail)
The room is currently being used by the only Muslim employee at the castle to offer midday prayers. Magna Chaudhry seems very excited at this new development:
"It feels amazing to be the first Muslim to read namaz (prayers) at Windsor Castle," said the 19-year-old." (Source: Daily Mail)
Many will see the move by the British monarch as just more pandering to evil Islamic Nazi terrorists in a time when the West is a battle for its very survival against an Islamic enemy that will stop at nothing to kill every infidel and enslave all those that it cannot kill. While some Muslims will feel the move is just window dressing trying to hide the crimes that are committed in the name of the Crown against Islam. You decide who is right.
The hordes of Muslim "invaders/conquerors" that have made their way to the West post World War II are creating in many westerners whether they be from Europe or North America a certain amount of nostalgia and yearning for a bygone age and Christian rulers long since dead. The memory of Charlemagne is one such medieval Christian king whose memory is evoked by some today as a defender of Europe from the Muslim enemy.
Charlemagne or Charles the Great was the first Frankish king to unite the many "disparate tribes" of Europe. He is considered by many as founding a unity in Europe not seen since the Roman Empire.
Born in 742 A.D the grandson of the "great" Charles Martel, Charlemagne was well renowned for both his Catholic "piety" and his use of the sword. With military campaigns against the Lombards in Italy, the Saracens (Muslims) in Spain and the Saxons in northern Europe Charlemagne's time here on earth was spent murdering for Jesus while being steeped in the blood of his enemies and in papal veneration. Crowned "Emperor of the Romans" by Pope Leo III he did much to advance his own personal power and the writ of the Catholic Church. In doing so the Church gave divine sanction to murder and the rivers of blood that flowed from his actions.
One of his most infamous campaigns was not against the "evil" Muslim invaders from Spain but rather against his fellow Europeans. Charlemagne spent most of life with the cross in one hand and the sword in the other murdering in the name of Jesus . For years he fought in battles to Christianize the pagan Germanic Saxon tribes of northern Europe. Once conquered Charlemagne would leave Saxony to wage murder in the name of Christ further south in Italy. On Charlemagne's return the Saxons had normally revolted and returned to their pagan ways. In punishment for this apparent apostasy from the religion of Christ, Charlemagne ordered the beheading of 4,500 Saxons in one day at the massacre of Verden. The river Aller was said to be red with the blood of those murdered.
Charlemagne suffered his most unsuccessful campaign in trying to rid the Iberian peninsula of Muslims in 778 A.D. After marching to Pampola in Spain he feared treachery from his allies only to retreat back to his kingdom.
Charlemagne while on one hand piously murdering in the name of Christ had enough time during his reign to marry, own concubines and sire children. According to reports he fathered 13 children from 5 wives and 6 bastard children from 5 concubines.
Charlemagne died in 814 and was buried in at the Cathedral in Achen.
How anyone in today's modern day wishes to idealize this man is beyond me. He baptized and murdered in the name of Jesus Christ. He split blood like rivers with his Christian sword for over 30 years in Europe. He murdered in over 50 expeditions against 12 different nations. Why on earth would anybody in the west want to venerate this individual who probably has more European blood on his sword than Muslim blood ?
For those that think that names like Charlemagne, Richard the Lion Heart and Saladin are just ancient history and have no bearing upon us today let me remind you of the words of the French General Henri Gouraud who in 1920 while he entered the tomb of Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi in Damascus publicly announced :
"Saladin, we have returned. My presence here consecrates the Cross over the Crescent."
Charlemagne and those like him prove that the West's "dislike" of all things Islamic long precedes September 11th 2001.
Meetings took place today between Evangelical Christian leaders and Knesset(Israeli parliament) members. Pastors and leaders from around the world confirmed their support for Israel and stated that millions of Evangelical Christians pray constantly for the Jewish state. However in a "new development" some participants to the meeting not only provided spiritual support but also material support in the form of men to fight.
"We see Israelis as our spiritual mothers and fathers. It's an honor for us to be here," Pastor Norman Miller of Australia.
A delegate from Africa said: "We have soldiers in Africa, not just spiritual soldiers, but those who even want to come and fight with you."
"Around the world, we see the rise of radical Islam come against our Judeo-Christian values, and we must meet it with a well organized response," Josh Reinstein, Director of the Knesset's Christian Allies Caucus. (Source: YNetNews.com)
However even after the glowing words and tributes there is concern amongst many of the Jewish faith that Evangelical Christians are only "eyeing-up" the state of Israel from the perspective of future converts. How much of this concern is founded upon reality can only be answered by Evangelical Christians themselves.
Anyone who reads European history will find this current rapprochement between members of Christianity and Judaism rather strange. Christians have been killing, raping and looting Jews for at least the last 1000 years. Vilified in popular European Christian culture, expelled from many states in Europe, persecuted as the killers of Christ and targeted by violence which culminated in the Holocaust and murder of 6 million Jews. The history of Christianity and Judaism living together is not a pretty one. Many of these crimes were committed with the sanction of the Christian Church. Therefore I say that there maybe something more to this alliance then just mutual respect and love. Maybe Evangelic Christians are not as altruistic as they may want all of us to believe.
Ruth Kelly the British cabinet minister for women is making a call for the media to employ Muslim women in hijab:
"Muslim women wearing hijab, or headscarves, should be employed in front-line roles in the media"
"More women wearing hijab needed to be seen in the public eye, particularly on television, to encourage more Muslim women to put themselves forward" (Source Daily Telegraph)

As readers to this weblog already know much is written by people in the know and even by people who do not know about the question of democracy and its compatibility with Islam. I am not in this post going to look at the Islam and democracy but rather the compatibility of Judaism and democracy.
For those that wish to vilify Islam a very easy route to take is to throw slurs about Islam and democracy. However discussion regarding the place of religion and democracy is not a subject that is related to Islam only. In modern times such as the 1980's and even to this day there is a debate inside Judaism vis a vis religion and the place of western democratic values.

It was filmed on 25th March 1985 in Boston, United States. The quality of the recording is not that great but one is able to understand what is going on.

The following is a short video about some of the racial stereotyping that we all do in one way or another in our daily lives. The show is hosted by a bearded American Muslim Azhar Usman who pretends to have an Indian accent. It shows quite well that racism is not just a black and white thing.
For those unaware today is the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The month consists of Muslims abstaining from nourishment whether solid or liquid, immoral actions and sexual activity from sunrise to sunset for 30 days. The month is also used by Muslims to increase their spiritual attachment to Islam by prayer and remembrance.
On this occasion George W. Bush the United States President has sent the following message to the Muslims of America:
"Ramadan and the upcoming holiday seasons are a good time to remember the common values that bind us together. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens whose commitment to faith reminds us of the gift of religious freedom in our country,"
"Ramadan is also an opportunity to gather with friends and family and show thanks for God's blessings through works of charity," (Kuwait News Agency)
I wonder what possible common values "evil" Islam - the work of Satan could have with America ? I suppose this may be called by some as appeasing the enemy but why would the President of America want to do that at the time of World War III ? Very strange indeed.
The common perception held by many is that the Jewish nature of the state of Israel is at danger not only is it in danger but the very existance of the state is in danger from the "Muslim demographic time bomb". Muslims are reproducing so fast that within the near future Jews will be a minority in the Jewish state.
On this front I have some good news. It looks like the Muslim/Arab birth rate in Israel is falling while the Jewish multiple birth rate is the highest any where in the world.
"Israel is in first place in the world in multiple-baby births, largely because of the high rate of fertility treatments in the country. In 2003, 5% of all Jewish babies were born in multiple-baby births, compared with only 3.4% of Moslems. The number of such babies born in Israel has risen 29% over the past decade. "

It seems that the tide against the Muslim demographic time bomb maybe turning especially in Israel.
Let me begin by saying that I wish to thank all of those of you who have been patiently waiting for a update of this weblog. I tried to update this weblog yesterday after I returned from my trip abroad however there was a problem with Blogger which meant that my return to the blogsphere was delayed until today. Please accept my apologies for the delay.
Moving on the topic of this post and its title. I thought it would be interesting if I shared some of my experiences from my latest holiday.
Just to put you into the picture I decided to a take a holiday for a week starting on 12th September 2006 to 19th September 2006. When I write that I decide to travel on those dates I should rephrase by saying that these were the only dates that I could get off work.
The trip was organized from a major European airport to a destination in the Muslim world. I arrived at the airport 3 hours before the time of intended departure. After checking my baggage in I moved on to the departures lounge. Air travel is not something that is alien to my nature. I have regularly been using air transportation since 1978 as well a having flown numerous times since 11th September 2001. Therefore the strange looks from some of the general public is nothing new and I am quite used to it as a Muslim and an air traveler. As you know because of the latest developments around air travel there was added security and extra safety measures. Some of these being restrictions on the size of hand luggage allowed onto flights and the prohibitions of drinks, cosmetics, toothpaste and the alike. I normally never carry hand luggage except travel papers and money so these restrictions did not really effect me in anyway. While moving to the departures lounge and the security area I found myself in the line behind a Muslim women in "burqa". While I personally do not have a problem with a woman wearing "hot pants" or a "burqa" it seems that this form of clothing really upset one of the other elderly passengers.
The old lady began by saying :
"They cannot allow her on the plane wearing that !"
I could not see her concern so I asked her:
"Why not ?"
She was not happy and started arguing with another passenger who tried to explain to her that not all the people in this world can be Anglo-Saxon, Christian, Blonde haired and blue eyed. The old woman was having none of it. The young man apologized to the passenger in the burqa and also to me. When the old lady reached the front of the line she gave her papers to the security personal and then began to start complaining about the lady in the burqa. The security person told her to mind her own business and with that she was sent on her way. The security guard then apologized to the lady in the burqa for the rudeness of the other passenger.
Before I went on this trip I did not know how I would be treated as a Muslim trying to board a plane. I did not know how the people in the airport would react to me. Would there be any special type of procedure that I as a Muslim would have to go through? Would I be singled out for special treatment / consideration ? Questions such as these were running through my mind before the car journey to the airport.
The security was tighter at the airport than at any other time that I can remember. Even having said that the staff and personal all treated me with the most respect and attentiveness.
Many say that there is a new criminal offence of "traveling while being a Muslim" having just recently come back from a trip abroad I can say that I in no way felt that. I am sure that there are some who feel that I should not have so easily been allowed to board a plane.
I recently wrote a post entitled "Muslims and Integration into European Society". The post dealt with what was needed from a Muslim in order that he/she may be an integrated member of an European society. The post gathered a few comments from contributors from Europe, some form Australia and some from America. Integration and or assimilation of Muslim minorities in the West is of upmost importance for the West to have any credence as a place able to give safe sanctuary to all of its inhabitants irrespective of race, culture and religion. In this spirit I found the following article very interesting.

The post is a link to a New York Times article that details the fact that Muslim migration into the United States is increasing. The article cites that last year 40,000 Muslims were given permanent residency in the U.S.
What will be the reaction to these new members of American society ? Some light can be thrown on this question from the comments that were posted on Huffington. I shall reproduce some of them here :
These Moslems are infiltrating our shores. They should be rebuffed at the border and deported. Otherwise we will become like Canada, a Moslem lover nation, an appeaser nation, a terror collaborator nation.
These Moslems are escaping their hell on earth countries. There should be zero tolerance for their cultural depravities. Send them all back to their countries as the ultimate punishment.
Now that there are 300,000,000 people living in the United States, why are we letting anyone in? Try to visit a known recreation area such as Yellowstone National Park, or the Grand Canyon, or go camping in the Tetons. Its like visiting a Mardi Gras, wall to wall people everywhere you go. What is the goal, to turn America into Japan? 120,000,000 on an island the size of Montana. Is this what we want? Sea to sea bedroom community? Never away from a mob of people, no play to hike to, no place to camp, no forests to explore. The eastern seaboard from New York to Washington is already like this, Los Angeles is a permanent traffic jamb, as is Atlanta.
Why are we are we letting anyone in? The place is full.
I look at them and think. Will they make life better for the people here or worse? How long before they demand we change to suit their special needs or until their kids start blowing the place up for their God? How long before they start another mafia of dope and white slavery? How long before they try to enslave us as thier countrymen are enslaved? Why didn't they stay home and change things there? Oh yea because they have money. They will only mind their own business for a short while then there will be hell to pay. Look at how they treat Christians in the lands they come from. Pakistan, Indonesia, Saudia,etc...How long before they decide to start killing each other and Jews here? How long before they decide who will wear or eat what when or lose their job? When will they start mutilating the genitals of women and buying poor non Muslims as playthings for their adolecent boys like the Saudis do? When they get the power to do so, that is when. I got nothing against them so long as they keep to themselves. That isn't their nature. I see them as gangsters and trouble.
I say welcome to our new Muslim brothers and sisters, and I hope you join us in bringing sanity back to our government.
Can Western people really lecture Muslims about tolerance and to be accepting of others ?
Now just a distant memory in the past the "cartoons episode" between the secular West and the Muslim world appears to have cost the nation that sparked the controversy a great deal.
The "row" erupted in September 2005 when the Danish paper Jayllands-Posten published cartoons of the Prophet of Islam. The publication led to protests around the Muslim world, deaths of protestors and even the burning of the Norwegian and Danish embassies in Damascus. Much blood was spilt over the affair and it soured Muslim-West relations.
There has also been an economic dimension to the affair. It is reported that Danish exports have fallen by 15.5% for the months from February to June 2006. While exports to Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran fell by 40% and 47% respectively. The cost to Danish companies in the four months corresponds to around $170 million. I personally believe the loss of $170 million in four months will have a greater effect on the Danes than seeing any number of Muslim demonstrators or burning embassies.
For the benefit of the blogsphere I thought that I would put a "definitive list" for all of those of you who thought you might be Muslim:
(10) Your name is written Ahmed but people pronounce it as A-kh-med. Please try to remove as much phlem from your throat when trying to say the kh part of the word.
(9) You keep shouting Alla-Acbar in an American accent uncontrollably while watching Rambo 3 on DVD therefore you must be a Muslim
(8) You cannot remember the names of all 4 of your wives.
(7) You have just realized that you are Arab therefore you must be Muslim.
(6) You are on welfare and state handouts therefore you must be Muslim.
(5) You have a beard whether you are male or female therefore you must be a Muslim.
(4) You are a liar therefore you must be a Muslim.
(3) You just committed murder therefore you must be a Muslim.
(2) You worship Satan therefore you must be a Muslim .
(1) You vote Democrat therefore you must be a Muslim.
The current phase of the war between Israel and Hezbollah is over. Much has been left up in the air. All of the parties concerned are performing the usual post-conflict analysis. The question remains as to who won the current round of hostilities? The answer to that question depends upon whom one asks.
The Israeli government much to the annoyance of a large portion of its population claims victory. However many Israeli are still asking fundamental questions regarding the latest venture. If Israel won why has Hezbollah not be dismantled ? Why have the Israeli soldiers that were kidnapped at the start of the war not been returned ? These questions coincide with allegations of incompetence against the Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the head of the Israeli Armed Forces General Dan Halutz and the Defense Minister Amir Peretz.
On the Lebanese side there has been some disquiet at the actions of Hezbollah however it was muted in the most part due to the fact that the nation was at war. There has even been an admission from the leader of the group Hassan Nasrallah that they would not have launched the attack that ended in the kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers if they had know the level of the response that Israel launched in retaliation.
However much of the post-war analysis misses the main casualty of the war namely the Lebanese civilian population who took the main brunt of the casualties and deaths in the conflict.
This now brings me to today's post.
Is there any connection between a British Neo-Nazi party, Israel and the Hezbollah ? On the surface not much however on closer inspection the latest war between Israel and Hezbollah has found support for the Jewish state from the most unlikely of quarters.

The British National Party denies that it is a neo-Nazi organization and does not harbor any sympathies for Adolf Hitler or the Third Reich.
Mark Collett is a former chairman of the BNP's youth wing, Young B.N.P. and at the centre of a British Channel 4 documentary entitled "Young, Nazi and Proud."
The current war on terror has changed the world as we know it. Old certainties that have held true for so long have disappeared. The world has come full circle, who would have thought that neo-nazis would have started supporting the Jewish state in its fight against terror?
The report is entitled "Dynamism In Islamic Activism; Reference Points For Democratization And Human Rights". The main assertion of the report is that an unjustified fear of and aversion to Islam exists in the Netherlands. Instead of continuing to drag the name of that faith through the mud, there should be far more criticism of friendly countries such as the US, Israel and Russia.
The report has already been presented to the Dutch Parliament in April 2006. One of the researchers for the council Jan Schoonenboom stated at that time that the debate in Holland was dominated by "Islam-bashing" and advised the Dutch government "not to be so spastic about Sharia Law."
The report has gained condemnation by some in the Netherlands. Ayaan Hirsi Ali called Schoonenboom "a quack" while CDA Parliamentary leader Maxime Verhagen called the report "rubbish".
Europeans should worry more about the weakness of Christianity as opposed to the strength of Islam. These are the sentiments of the Catholic Bishop of Basel, Switzerland.
Bishop Kurt Koch while commenting about the percieved strengthening of Islam in Europe is reported to have said :
"If we were to go back to our roots and stand by our own convictions, we could approach other faiths more openly,"

Which roots would these be ?
Most Christains that I have spoken to are ashamed by the "roots" of the Christian Church in Europe. Whether it be burning witches at the stake or killing Jews or heretics the roots of the Christian Church in Europe are mired in the blood of its opponents. Therefore I find it surprising that the Bishop would want a return to that type of situation.
Many do call Europe Eurabia because of the number of Muslims there and their percieved strength. I wonder how far is this true and how far is it a political ploy ?
The sentiments written in the title of this post are not taken from the Qur'an or the Hadith (Prophetic tradition) nor are they the pronouncements of a mad mullah nor of a Muslim anti-Semite. They are however the words of the gentleman pictured above.
This "latest revelation" comes from a forth coming book authored by James Moore and Wayne Slater. The book is entitled The Architect: Karl Rove And the Plan for Absolute Power.
The allegation centers around the then Governor Bush who made the following statement to a reporter of the Austin American-Statesman:
"You know what I'm gonna tell those Jews when I get to Israel, don't you Herman?"

I do not know if the statement was made in jest but even then I assume it would be classified as anti-Semitism or am I wrong in saying that ?
The Times of London reports that certain British citizens are threatening Muslim communities in the United Kingdom with beheadings and other types of murder if they do not emigrate forthwith. Using video recording to instill terror the message is quite clear either leave Britain or you will be killed. It appears there is no room for tolerance and love. The articles says that the videos can be found on the Youtube website. I tried to locate the videos without any luck of you are able I would appreciate the link.

The films show balaclava-clad white British men brandishing guns, knives and clubs, calling on all Muslims to leave the United Kingdom or be killed. One appears to be a soldier who has served in the Gulf.
In one film a man tells Muslims to "go home" or risk being burnt alive. He threatens: "I'll cut your head off," and claims to have "comrades" across Britain who have "had enough".
In one video a man with a London accent says: "I wish to know what we are going to do to fight the so-called religion of peace known as Islam."
Another video, dated August 19, shows a balaclava-clad man with a Welsh accent telling Muslims to "go home" or be burnt. Brandishing a foot-long hunting knife with a serrated blade he says: "We are going to rip the life out of you. I am going to tear your guts out. I'll cut your head off. You come over here, you bomb us, disgrace us, you spit on our heritage, you want the Union Jack banned, you want your own flag flying over parliament . .. it ain't gonna happen." I am sure there will be those who say well you Muslims only have yourselves to blame. One will always find those that wish to make excuses for terrorism.
Carrying on from the discussion that was started in part one of this series of articles I thought that it would be useful to hear from a non-Muslim voice regarding the topic. Therefore I present a member of the British public who relates his views on democracy, terrorism and immigration.
There are many who feel that people from different cultures cannot live together irrespective of the level of good-will or lack of it on both sides. Maybe they are right. Maybe mankind needs to stop deluding itself into thinking that we have evolved from prejudice inspired by tribalism, nationalism and racism.
The following video is a look at how Christianity and Judaism have interacted through the last 2000 years. It is not a documentary as such but as far as I know the views expressed are those of one particular individual. Do his/her claims and accusations have any merit ?
